Client organization is renowned for effective event management in the mid west region
of United States of America for past 30 years. The client caters to the large corporations
for coordinating and managing the events. Upon receiving the requests from the corporate
organization, client is entrusted with the task of creating a customized web site,
online registration forms, attendee registration, hotel registration, airline booking
and manage the actual event. The corporations requesting the event management assistance
have offices through out United States and Canada. The application has to cater
to such large organization with offices in different geographical locations.
Challenge
Client was utilizing various small applications to manage various administrative
and client specific services with SQL databases. With the high demand of the company's
services, many new features were added to the system in the course of 5 years. The
system became difficult to maintain causing slow turn around time and reduced efficiency.
PrincipalSoft Technologies was asked to develop a web based application that would
integrate all the different services by the client to automate the operations.
Solution
PrincipalSoft worked very closely to analyze the existing applications. Due to the
huge scope of the system, the modules were designed and grouped into different iterations.
The application needed dynamic creation of website, online registration and database
creation on the fly. PrincipalSoft developed a fully functional web based application
using the core features of latest version of Microsoft.Net (2005). PrincipalSoft
provided a completely secured web based solution to address all the event management
needs.
The resulting Web application helps in managing the events through the various stages
starting from setting up custom web sites, creating dynamic web registration forms
through event attendee management. The software also allows dynamic creation of
web contents on the fly. The information of each client of our customer is secured
completely by creating separate databases for each event.
Application has been successful to providing all the services of the client through
a single centralized system. This has helped the client to focus on core business
needs by automating consumer management. The online software is used by over 200+
administrators, 500+ clients over the secured internet connection.
The client has seen a remarkable increase in the business due to the process orientation
resulting in reduced interdependency.
